2015 - 2016 Meeting Schedule

GLAMA has begun its 2015-2016 year.
Brian Rummage of Second Presbyterian Church will serve as our President. Brian Alexander of Center Hill Baptist Church will serve as Vice-President. Misty York will continue to serve as our secretary; and Lee Zehmer of First Presbyterian Church will continue as treasurer.

Please join the Greater Lexington Area Ministers as we lift up our community and nation to the Lord in prayer. On Thursday, May 7th, at 12 noon on the old Lexington Courthouse steps, county and city leaders along with area pastors will lead those gathered in a series of prayers and scripture readings. 2015 Palm Sunday Walk

On March 29th, participating churches in Lexington will conclude their services 15 minutes early so that the clergy, choirs, and members can walk to the square in Lexington. At. 12 noon, on the steps of the courthouse, the Greater Lexington Area Minister's Association will lead a brief service of worship in commemoration of Palm Sunday - the day when Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem. We hope that you can join us!

Lenten Service Schedule

Each year the Greater Lexington Area Minister's Association hosts noon time services on Wednesdays during Lent. First United Methodist Church hosts the services that begin at 12 noon. Following the service there is a light lunch in the church's fellowship hall beginning at 12:30 p.m. Cost of the lunch is only $5. An offering is received at each service and the proceeds will go to the Community in Schools Back Pack Program.

This year each week's service will be let by a mix of pastors for each of the participating churches.

The Greater Lexington Ministers will be walking in the Lexington MLK Jr. parade on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1 p.m.. We will meet at Arby's at 12:50 p.m.
