Each year the Greater Lexington Area Minister's Association hosts noon time services on Wednesdays during Lent. First United Methodist Church hosts the services that begin at 12 noon. Following the service there is a light lunch in the church's fellowship hall beginning at 12:30 p.m. Cost of the lunch is only $5. An offering is received at each service and the proceeds will go to the Community in Schools Back Pack Program.
This year each week's service will be let by a mix of pastors for each of the participating churches.
